Howard McClearin Lee was born November 26, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio. He was called to preach at the age of sixteen, and realized that ministry was his life’s destiny. ”He has spent over 35 years in ministry service and continues to spread the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven across America and around the globe”. From children to the elderly, his passion and commitment to the Word of God is evident as he continues to preach and teach the Word and doing the work of ministry by finding ways and resources to help others.
After serving alongside his Father, the late Bishop Charles V. Lee at the House of Prayer/ Hope Center Inc. from June of 1983 til September of 1990, Rev. Lee founded HML Ministries in 1991 and became the first ecclesiastically endorsed Educational Chaplain in United States history by an endorsing agent recognized by the Pentagon , at the federal level.

As a result of this endorsement, he founded the first organization to certify and deploy Chaplains in educational institutions, called Public School Chaplaincy for America.
He currently serves as the Chairman of The HML Network, and the visionary of the Hope For The Nations Campaign. The scriptural reference that now guides Bishop Lee's life and ministry is found in the book of Psalms 71: 17&18 “O God thou has taught me from my youth: hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works: Now that I, am old and grey headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come.” Howard and his wife of over 35 years, Sheila reside in Centerville, Ohio are parents to five daughters. They have five grandchildren.
